David Christopher Dillow
David (Dancer) A.K.A "DILLZ" holds a BFA in Dance Performance from the University of the Arts Philadelphia. His love of dance began in the show choir at Teays Valley HS in Ashville, OH. He is an accomplished international dancer, choreographer and fashion designer (Dillz Fashion). David has worked with top recording artists and dance companies across the U.S.A, Europe, Asia and the Caribbean Islands. Notable experiences include commercial productions for Addidas, Mercedes, Samsung, and work with F.I.V.E. Productions, Vibe Dance Company, Garden State Dance Festival and Brian Sanders JUNK. Most recently David has been touring internationally with Momix Dance Company in their production MomixREMIX. Several years ago David founded his own company, Vitality Energy Productions. He has danced some with Xclaim in the past and is excited to join Xclaim again for a second season. He looks forward to participating in their success!
Crystal Irving
Crystal (Dance Trainee) has a Bacherlor of Arts from Anderson University in Politcal Science and Finance with a minor in Spanish. She began her dance training at a young age with Majorie Jones school of Ballet, and spent several years studying at BalletMet and Charisma Centre for the Arts. She has trained under notable masters including: Doug King, Freddie Moore, Yvonne Peters, Aaron Chen, Daryse Osborne, Jeff Lewis, Randal Flinn, and Cherly Cutlip. Her notable performance and choreographic experiences include: Dancing as a member of the ICEJ's International Dance Company. performances in many high school musicals, two Summer tours with the Young Continentals, and various performances during her four years at Anderson University including Candles and Carols and the student led Hip Hop concert. Recently Crystal spent three years with Eagles Wings ministry where she was given the opportunity perform and choreograph across the nation. Today she can be found at the Ohio State University pursuing a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and Choreography. She joins Xclaim for her first season.
Ruth Keysor
Ruth (Dance Trainee) is a Columbus native. She is currently a Senior honors student at St. Francis DeSales High School. Ruth began her dance training at Charisma Centre for the Arts in 2000 where she has studied jazz, ballet, modern, pointe, and tumbling. She has also worked with notable instructors, choreographers, and masters including: Mariah Layne French, Stephanie Hall, Daryse Osborne, Yvonne Peters, Freddie Moore, Jeff Lewis, and Aaron Chen. She danced as a junior company Member at Exaltation for two years and has participated in many Dance productions and community outreach events with Christian Assembly Church. Following high school she plans to further her career in dance through collegiate study. This is Ruth's second season dancing with Xclaim.
Mary Negley
Mary (Dance Trainee) is a Home School graduate from Lewis Center, OH. She started dancing at the age of 13 with a background in gymnastics. Mary dances at Charisma Centre for the Arts where she is also an instructor. She has studied for a number of years with Mariah Layne French and the other gifted instructors at CCA. Mary's performance and choreography experiences include dancing with the Exaltation Dance Company and pieces she has created for her church. Her most recent, notable dance experience was being a member of the dance company for the ICEJ 2010 Feast of Tabernacles in Israel. Mary has done some understudying and dancing with Xclaim in the past and is excited to be joining Xclaim for her second season.
Frederick Ocansey
Frederick (Dancer) is from Columbus, Ohio. He is a 2010 graduate of Horizon Science Academy and currently a student at Wright State University where he is in his second year studying physical therapy and working on his BFA in Dance. Frederick began his formal dance training in January '09 at Charisma Centre for the Arts where he is a talent scholarship recipient. During high school he choreographed and led a hip-hop based dance group of fellow students. He has been an active member of his church youth group and a community volunteer. During the 2009-2010 season Frederick joined Xclaim as a trainee, in 2010-2011 he became a member of the company. College course work keeps Frederick fairly busy, but he enthusiastically dances with Xclaim when the opportunity arises.
Morgan Juve
Morgan (Dance Trainee) is a Columbus native. She is currently a Senior at St. Francis DeSales High School. Morgan's love for dance began at Charisma Centre for the Arts with a "Mommy & Me" class at the age of two. For the past 15 years she has immersed herself in classes at Charisma studying: jazz, ballet, modern, pointe, and tumbling. She has also worked with notable instructors, choreographers, and masters including: Lauren Froderman, Chloe Gonzolez, Stephanie Hall, Daryse Osborne, Yvonne Peters, Freddie Moore, Jeff Lewis, Aaron Chen and Mariah Layne French. Morgan danced as a junior company Member at Exaltation and has participated in many Dance productions and community outreach events with Christian Assembly Church. Following high school she plans to continue her lifelong love of dance through collegiate study. Morgan is excited to join Xclaim this season as a trainee!
Rachel Paul
Rachel (Dance Trainee) is currently a Senior in high school. She began dancing in 1997, and has attended Charisma Centre for the Arts since 2002 taking ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, and tumbling. Rachel also attends Eastland Performing Arts where she has studied since 2010 with Gale LeVan and "Broadway" with Doreen Dunn. Rachel has studied under notable instructors, choreographers, and masters including: Chloe Gonzolez, Pamela Hardy, Stephanie Hall, Daryse Osborne, Aaron Chen and Mariah Layne French. Following high school Rachel plans to study Musical Theater in college. After many classes with the company Rachel officially joins Xclaim this season as a trainee.
Amy Schmidt
Amy (Video Reproduction Technician/ Advocate) completed her Master of Fine Arts from The Ohio State University in Dance with a concentration in directing from Labanotation score. At OSU, Amy spent some time
concentrating on the study of Dance Videography. She also earned her Bachelor of Arts from OSU in Theatre with Distinction. Amy is currently working for OSU with graduate students in the Science Department and teaching Notation for the Department of Dance. Amy is blissfully married to Matthew Schmidt and together they enjoy their beautiful son, David. Her goals include making little Schmidts, nurturing her students, directing
movement in theatre, notating dance, training a production management team, and spreading the love of God through hugs.
